Profile
Charlotte qualified as a Solicitor in February 2014. Charlotte joined Prosperity Law LLP in 2022. Prior to that, she was the head of the private client team at Linder Myers.
Charlotte is a Partner and head of the private client team. Charlotte carries out the full spectrum of private client work from estate and succession planning to trust administration.
Charlotte specialises in the following:
- Estate and succession planning, with a focus on wealth protection or tax-efficient wills for high-net-worth individuals or individuals with complex family circumstances;
- Inheritance Tax advice and lifetime giving;
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney;
- Estate administration including estates comprising of business or agricultural assets, overseas assets or individuals with non-UK domiciled status;
- Resealing foreign grants;
- Trust and estate tax returns;
- Trust advice including creation, TRS registration, administration and winding up; and
- Creation and registration of charitable trusts.
Charlotte also acts as a professional executor, trustee and attorney.
Charlotte’s experience includes:
- Advice to executors of an estate comprised of business assets in excess of £25m;
- Complex estate administration with assets in multiple jurisdictions;
- Estate planning for a business owner with business assets in excess of £12m;
- Trust administration for trusts in excess of £5m;
- Estate administration for high-net-worth non- UK domiciled individuals;
- Estate administration in disputed estates;
- Death bed wills;
- Estate administration comprising of agricultural land or property and business property; and
- Dealing with wills and lasting powers of attorney where there are capacity issues.
Away from work, Charlotte enjoys spending time with family, exploring the outdoors and going to the theatre.
