Leading northern firm, Prosperity Law, has bolstered its successful commercial litigation team with the addition of three new lawyers from Jollifes in Chester. The expansion comes after a successful year for Prosperity’s commercial litigation function, triggering further investment into the team.

Joining Prosperity as Partner in commercial litigation and the new Office Managing Partner for Liverpool, is Richard Moose. Richard brings decades of experience in litigative cases. Recent cases including a breach of contract claim worth £1.3m in the High Court (in which Richard acted) and the successful defence of an unfair prejudice claim worth over quarter of a million, on behalf of a technology client. Speaking on the move, Richard said:

“The team and I are delighted to have joined Prosperity Law during this period of real growth. Our team brings a strong blend of local knowledge and legal expertise, and we are committed to building a dynamic, client-focused presence in the region that reflects the firm’s ambitious vision.”

Joining Richard from Jollifes, are Solicitors Lindsey Jenkins and Rachel Stone. Both Lindsey and Rachel have all-encompassing commercial litigation experience, covering all sectors and industries between them. They have represented clients of all sizes and scopes, to the value of millions of pounds. The team joins Prosperity’s Liverpool office, serving commercial clients based across the North West and beyond.

Prosperity’s Commercial Litigation team, headed up by Andrew Farrell in the firm’s Manchester Office, was recognised in the latest Legal500 rankings for dispute resolution services in the North West. Head of Dispute Resolution, Paul Magee, was also recognised in the listing for his dispute work in the property sector. Managing Partner Ed Smethurst commented:

“The litigation team at Prosperity have done a stellar job in the last few years – won some significant, high-value cases, all whilst delivering the ‘Prosperity’ service our clients expect. We are thrilled to have a dedicated team within Commercial Litigation now based in the Liverpool office. A warm welcome to Richard, Lindsey, and Rachel.”
